Eye Dilation
We use drops to dilate the pupil to allow our doctors to diagnose problems of the eye that may otherwise go undetected. When the eye is dilated, the pupil cannot constrict when lights are shown into the back of the eye. This allows a full view of the internal ocular structures.
OCT Imaging
Family EyeCare and Contact Lens Center offers highly advanced technology to diagnose a wide range of eye care problems. Our doctors use an innovative scanning system called OCT Imaging to produce highly detailed images of the retina and optic nerve.
OCT enables our doctors to clearly see the internal structures of the eye so problems can be identified and treated in the best way possible. This is a powerful tool that helps to protect vision as early as possible.
The breakthrough images of OCT provide detailed, MRI like images of structures affected by glaucoma and other abnormalities of the retina, including detached retina, diabetes, macular hole, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and pre/post cataract macula assessment. OCT is safe, requires no needles and takes only minutes to perform.
